I got to see Rosina Kazi of Lal perform a few months ago with Mandeep Sethi out in Berkeley. That woman has some lungs on her and I’m looking forward to seeing how the three piece band and a recording studio bring it all together.
he music of LAL is made by poet, lyricist, activist, singer and Bengali-rooted tough-guy Rosina Kazi and her life partner, producer, sound designer, philosopher, aphorismist and Barbados-born king of chill, Nicholas Murray, joined by bassist and walking guru Uganda-born Ian De Souza.
With a trio like that and a video like this - I have high expectations for this forth-coming album. Let’s see how it goes!
